Credit Controller

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join my client, an established company based in Greater Manchester. Working within the Credit Control team the successful Credit Controller will be responsible for prioritising as well as maximising cash collections at the same time minimising bad debts.

What are we looking for?
As the ideal candidate you will have worked as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily tasks
• Ability to deal with more complexed debt than volume
• ICM Member. Chartered Institute of Credit Management
• Able to communicate at all levels face to face and by telephone
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• A results driven attitude who can work on own initiative
• Good problem solving skills and able to use your own initiative
Responsibilities
• Responsible for a ledger holding 300-500 live aged debt accounts
• Review existing debtors credit limits
• Meet or exceed monthly cash collection debt reduction targets
• Prioritise collections by value/age/risk assessment
• Contact clients to ensure invoices are paid to terms agreed
• Maintaining/Creating payment plans and taking payments by credit card
• Reconciliation of customer accounts
• Write off journals, unallocated cash and duplicate accounts are cleared monthly
