Design Engineer from a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing background required within large and successful business, offering ongoing training and career development opportunities.

The role will be suited to competent Mechanical Design Engineers that have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within any mechanical machinery design and manufacture environment. Any experience of engine related design including Air flows, Heat rejection, Air Conditioning, Noise management and engine mounting would be highly advantageous but not essential as full product training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Relevant industry backgrounds would be, Off road engine based technologies, Agricultural, Construction, Mining, Generators, Static or Mobile Plant Machinery, Manufacturing/Production Machines or similar. You will be highly proficient in a 3D mechanical machinery modelling CAD package, experience of NX CAD would be ideal but all 3D CAD package experience will be considered.

The role will be project based and will be split between new product development, design for production alterations and specification design modifications for bespoke customer requirements. You will liaise with production and manufacturing teams on all areas of production to ensure the most efficient and effective designs are produced for manufacturer and product function for the end user.

The Person Required:

* A competent Mechanical Design Engineer from an engineering or manufacturing machinery development background.
* A strong hands on mechanical engineering aptitude to enable visual and consultative performance in assisting the best product outcomes.
* Proven high degree of competency on 3D CAD package with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, any experience of NX CAD advantageous.
* Hold a Full UK Driving Licence, British Passport and be willing to travel on rare occasions as required.
