Merchandiser

Salary: £26,400 – £31,200 per year

You will be the fundamental and critical connections between the designers, manufacturers and retailers.

There are 4 key parts to this role:

Merchandising

Ensuring delivery schedules are met and followed up with after sales information to customers

Assessing and completing all customer related forms and applications

Preparing purchase orders

Managing Critical Path

Maintain Central Registers for Shipping and Purchase Orders, Product Specs, Prices, Bar Codes, HS Codes and Duty Rates

Manage the sample development process

Logistics and Shipping

Negotiate with freight forwarders

Ensure import shipments (mainly from Asia) are scheduled on a timely basis

Administer all import and export shipments via email, phone and Cloud based system

Ensure documentation for export shipments is promptly and accurately prepared

Monitoring and Reporting

Reports on all active orders, shipments, invoices and payments due

Client Supplier Relationships

Build key working relationships with suppliers and customers

You will:

Have approx. 3 years experience in a similar role – ideally in beauty/fragrance sector

Good experience of liaising with factories in the Far East

An ability to recommend continuous improvements and new ways of working – an Innovator!

Have drive and tenacity combined with enthusiasm
