Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year
Transport Planner – £28k – West Midlands
A local Transport Planner/Manager is required to join a family owned company with over 35 years experience providing a complete service in Transport.
The successful Transport Planner will be routing a fleet of over 40 vehicles and more than 100 trailers.
The Package
£25k-£28k
Mon – Fri
1 Saturday a month
20 days holiday
The Role
The successful Transport Planner will effectively plan vehicle routes by fully utilising own vehicles to the required levels of customer service, whilst also adhering to Drivers hours legislation and maintenance requirements.
The Traffic Planner will build and maintain a relationship with each customer and communicate to them any problems, issues or queries in good time, and assist them in any way possible.
The Traffic Planner will issue drivers with clear instruction and react to any changing situation that develops on a day to day basis.
Requirements
General Haulage background
Previous Route Planning is ESSENTIAL
Previous driving experience is beneficial
Knowledge of driver’s rules and regulations ESSENTIAL
Experience with Transport Management Systems is beneficial
CPC holder
Computer literate
