Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Transport Manager to start work asap for one of our clients based in Coventry. This is a permanent position and interviews will be conducted over the next couple of week
You will be working for a well established FMCG company with on site parking and modern facilities for everyday use.
The ideal candidate needs to be reliable and responsible with a great attention for detail. You will be required to have a strong focus and an ability to produce management reports and communicate key issues and processes.
For this role you will need experience in the following:
* Fleet management and daily planning of operational labour and routes
* Vehicle routing software experience
* Meeting KPI’sand service levels
* In depth understanding of transport legislation
* Strong IT skills
* Strong communication skills and self motivation
* A quick thinker and experience of working under pressure
* Working within a customer focused environment
Day to day aspects of the role include;
* Planning drivers routes
* Maintaining the fleet
* Booking MOT’s and inspections
* Monitoring driver hours and keeping in line with legislation
Experience within a similar environment would be an advantage, as you will be asked to hit certain targets each day to ensure smooth operation of the department, and to ensure delivery of products to clients within times scale and accuracy.
