A national training provider that delivers learning programmes across England is seeking a remote Residential Childcare Assessor to join their Apprenticeship Department and are offering a competitive salary plus bonus scheme and an attractive holiday allowance. Reporting to a Team Leader, as a Residential Childcare Assessor your duties will include:

* Manage a caseload of learners

* Complete skills scans prior to commencing the learning programme.

* Work with the field assessor and trainer to review learner progress and set SMART objectives.

* Plan and carry out assessments and sign off units / areas of competence.

* Mark work submitted by the learner and provide feedback.

* Deliver functional skills training to learners up to Level 2.

We are looking for a Residential Childcare Assessor with the following:

* Appropriate apprenticeship assessing experience.

* Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent.

* Experience of working in a Children’s Residential Home at managerial level.

* Appropriate management qualification within Residential Childcare.

* A recognised Level 3 teaching qualification.

* Very good verbal communication skills.

You will be working a 37.5 hour week and enjoy 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays plus a day off on your birthday.
