The IT Support Technician Opportunity:

We’re looking for a IT Support Technician to join our great team so that we can help more people. Primarily supporting small business networks running Microsoft PCs & Servers, we supply, install, and support all aspects of IT that a business is likely to need, taking responsibility for the Security, Reliability, and Performance of the hardware, software, and cloud services that our customers use every day.

The IT Support Technician Role:

The IT Support Technician role is a key position at the very heart of our company, and is primarily responsible for ensuring that customer computers are online and working for them, providing support and assistance with any problems that arise, and the recommendation & installation of new products/services to help the customers.

Key Responsibilities:

> Design, build, and installation of new client PCs/Laptops including software
> Providing technical support via phone, remote access, and on-site
> Creating & Managing web hosting accounts, email mailboxes, Domain Names + DNS
> Monitoring security + updating customer & company systems and working to maximise uptime
> Assisting colleagues in their roles within the business

Key Skills & Experience:

> Has experience building & supporting Microsoft Windows computers (XP+) – MCDST Preferred
> Has strong network skills including security & troubleshooting
> Is highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
> Is keen to learn and aims to be successful in all they do
> Demonstrates a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and focuses on solutions rather than problems

Desirable Experience:

> Basic Windows Server / SBS Administration
> Experience with Mac / Linux Operating Systems
> Basic HTML / PHP Skills
> Existing helpdesk and telephone support experience useful

The Offer:

The starting salary offered for this role will be between £26,000and £18,000 subject to experience, and will increase with your value to the business. Other benefits include: 28 days holiday entitlement, on-the-job training, scope for promotion, good bus/train connections.
