MAINTENANCE ENGINEER / MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER

Due to continuous growth, we are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer who supply into the FMCG sector. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be required to cover breakdowns and plan preventative maintenance activities.

COMMUTABLE FROM:

Corby, Kettering, Oadby, Oakham, South Luffenham, Stamford and Uppingham

SHIFT PATTERN:

Continental Shift Pattern – 4 days 6am-6pm / 4 off / 4 nights 6pm-6am / 4 off

THE ROLE:
As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will involve:

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities and update the schedules on the system
* Providing mechanical and electrical breakdown cover for all activities on plant including moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary equipment
* Advise on specification of new manufacturing equipment ensuring that it will not provide any problems when it comes to servicing and maintenance
* Fault finding through a methodical approach
* Advise, instruct and train colleagues on equipment

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have:

* Previous experience working in a similar role
* HNC level or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
* Relevant electrical qualifications including City & Guilds 17th Edition
* Previously worked in a FMCG, Packaging, Food or Plastic manufacturing environment
* Natural fault-finding ability
