Control Room Operatives / Mobile Drivers

Currently Nationwide Security has exciting opportunities for Control Room Operatives and Mobile Drivers to join our expanding Control Room team!

The role is for both or either Controllers or Mobile Drivers. The Company offers a solid training scheme to ensure we find the right role for you!

As part of the Control Room your duties will be:
– To work in the Control Room operating and monitoring CCTV systems, building management and safety systems including fire, intruder.
– To act as emergency coordinator following safety and emergency procedures.
– To perform access control duties at the control room or remotely via intercoms at all entrance locations, preventing unauthorised access.
– Logging in all visitors, recording and monitoring all staff and contractor access.
– Responding to all incidents as required, keeping the on-duty manager informed, especially in relation to any escalation.
– To complete daily reports regarding activities/disturbances on 24 hour electronic log.
– Be responsible for the promotion of Manchester Central’s green policy in relation to heat loss and reduction of power consumption.
– In the event of a fire or other emergencies, be prepared to contact the emergency services and/or other appropriate service providers.
– To work individually and part of a team using company values to improve day to day service delivery.
– In the event of an emergency situation assist in evacuation as required.
– To ensure compliance with all statutory requirements such as Health and Safety, Environmental Issues and Licensing.
– To communicate any significant event/occurrence to neighbouring businesses which may threaten the local business working community.
– To communicate through sound decision making any incident worthy of note to a member of the Senior Management Team, thereby giving the opportunity to diminish reputational risk at the earliest opportunity.

The Mobile Driver role requires you to transport Security Guards to/ from sites, visit mobile sites on a regular basis & report any situations that occur, liaise with the duty controller & if a guard does not attend you will be required to cover that shift until a relief guard arrives. Vehicle, site keys, maintenance records & guard log books are included in duties.

You must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes and have a max of 6 points on your driving licence.

Both rules do require you to hold a VALID SIA LICENCE and as shifts are generally mixed you must be available to work nights, days and weekends.
