£23.4 /HR (Ltd Company Rate) rising to £20/HR (Ltd Company Rate) when competent.

Mods Technicians required for my rail based client in North West London. The role is carrying out modifications on rolling stock carriages (LUL Stock) both of a mechanical and electrical nature. The modifications include working on all systems and parts within the vehicle, whilst many are of a mechanical nature there are a number of electrical and therefore we require competent electrical trades persons. You must be able to work from wiring diagrams/schematics and following works instructions and in addition use a fluke meter to carry out basic testing/fault finding. Please note some modifications are of a basic nature i.e. replacement of a grab rail or arm rest, whereas others are more detailed i.e. installing new control panels/switches.

Clearly we are keen to hear from candidates with experience of carrying out electrical MODS on trains or previous electrical maintenance duties on rolling stock. However we are also keen to hear from electricians that have worked on rail infrastructure and are now interested in transferring to Rolling Stock.

Also ex forces personnel are encouraged to apply as a significant number of these posts have been filled by individuals from this background. You will need to have carried out electrical maintenance or modifications on aircraft, military vehicles or weaponry systems.

Currently the main shifts are 4on/4off 12hr shifts days and nights, however these may change so candidates must be flexible and willing to work all shifts. 50hrs per week available and long-term duration

LUCAS and LUL medical/DA are required, if you hold them it will enable you to start rapidly, alternatively we will get these for you and cover the cost so please still apply if you don’t currently hold.
