The Role:

Based out of the UK facility in Essex but also working across the other sites, the role is particularly key to developing the next generation of extruded films and applications, embracing new technologies and integrating recycled content and process in line with the Company’s Strategy. The position is a catalyst to business success, whereby enthusiastic creativity, detailed technical knowledge, pragmatic operational implementation and delivery, meet and blend to deliver a financially viable solution to a quantified and qualified customer requirement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s and PhD in Polymer Chemistry or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology industry.
Initially this role is in support of a single site (UK), but could evolve with experience to embrace multisite project responsibility.

Skills / Attributes:

Excellent understanding of leading edge material and process technology encompassing extrusion polymer manufacture and or conversion/ extrusion of polymers.
A driven creative solution provider, with initiative, propositions for new and alternative materials and technologies that might bridge the technology / productivity gap that has grown over the years.
Strong willed with the ability to challenge and be challenged, shows a structured approach to problem solving and solution finding.
A self-starter with a driven approach for delivering success.
Excellent communication skills (knowledge of French an advantage but not essential).
Must show initiative in all aspects of the role and the drive to complete tasks and projects.
Ability to balance managing technical processes and teams along with using technical skills to provide the necessary environment for project success.
