Salary: £102,000 – £114,000 per year
Are you passionate about driving change and delivering enterprise application level software? Then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As Head of Software Applications this role requires an energetic individual to provide vision and direction for the efficient delivery of high quality application level enterprise software for a thriving business in the field of wireless communications. As Head of Software Applications, you will manage a multi-site and off-shore software team of c 40-50 Software Engineers with 4 direct senior level reports. You will drive change and excellence across the software organisation using your proven leadership skills and application level telecoms background.
Essential Head of Software Applications Skills:
Ability to lead from the front making systematic improvements and driving change
Passion to evangelise about application level software, tools and systems
Experience rolling out process improvement changes
Software Project Management in a matrix environment
Proven line management of teams with over 20 staff including the management of Team Leaders
Substantial experience and at least some knowledge in the following:
Wireless telecoms
Development of software applications using Object Oriented methods and tools (C++/C#).
Radio interface
WAP browsers
Phonebook management
Command and control basestation software
