Principal Planner
Full job description
The Oyster Partnership
Salary: £28.8 – £34.8 per hour
Who wants typical?
is slogging to work on a commuter train first thing in the morning, to sit in an office from 9-5, doing a job that’s fine but you don’t love it.
puts food on the table.
Forget typical. Let’s have different, and sexy, and exciting.
So, Senior, Principal, and Associate Town Planners – how does working on some of the biggest, most current developments in the London market sound?
You won’t just be working for your bog-standard consultancy or local authority, sat at a desk ploughing through endless householder applications.
You’ll be working alongside local government, taking a direct hand in shaping the development future of a major London borough. I promise you, no more small residential extensions.
I’m talking taking responsibility for major projects, working on residential schemes of 3,000 units or more. You’ll have the autonomy over one hell of a caseload.
It’s fast-paced, it’s exciting, and it’s going to take someone who can see the bigger picture – it’s more than just DM planning, it’s place shaping.
Not to mention, the working arrangements are flexible. Want to work from home? No problem, we trust you to do that. Fancy going into the office for a change of scenery? Feel free.
Oh, and the pay is good.
Ideally, you’ll have some London experience handling major projects so it wouldn’t be such a system shock taking on the portfolio, MRTPI with a few years of experience under your belt.
So, if you’d like to find out some more, don’t hesitate to look me [Jessica Carnwath] up on LinkedIn, or give me a ring.
