CNC / NX / NC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace – Contract

Responsibilities of the CNC / NX / NC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer:

– Using CAD model and data to write NC programmes using Unigraphics / Siemens NX manufacturing package
– Running programmes through Vericut simulation software
– Outstanding manufacturing practices to manufacture parts starting with initial processing, through programming and fixture design, final prove-out, and continual improvement activities
– Uploading programmes to the CNC machines
– Specifying and designing tooling required to manufacture the component
– Liaising with CNC operators to complete ‘FAIRS’ First Off Inspection Reports to ensure the quality of the component
– During the manufacture of the component – working knowledge of process improvements, checking route cards, improving layouts, problem solving will be required
– Interface with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Control shareowners

Educational / Skill requirements of the CNC / NX / NC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer:

– A strong background of NC programming using Unigraphics / Siemens NX
– Essential – Knowledge and experience of working with Aerospace or Precision engineered components
– Thorough, in-depth knowledge and understanding of jig and tool design
– Offline and Online programming capabilities
