Electrical Estimator

Electrical Estimator – £35-£40k

Our client is an established firm of Electrical Contractors.To further their aim in delivering a service of the highest quality they are looking to enhance their team by recruiting an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their existing team. Your role will be to manage, evaluate and prepare quotations for all client enquiries associated with electrical works and liaison with mechanical partners for M&E enquiries.Candidates should be familiar with working with Excel for the evaluation and preparation of quotations.

Your role will include:

Produce accurate material/equipment take offs from drawings/schedules
Review all contract documentation including specifications
Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors for quotation material
Produce detailed estimate breakdowns for the electrical services package
Formulate proposals for submission to clients
Follow up on quotes, tracking and monitoring success rate for maintenance of sales tracker
Creation of materials take-offs on successful tenders
Support workload planning on successful tenders
Accurately price contract variations giving detailed cost breakdowns

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Proven track record within valuation and successful tendering within an electrical contracting environment
Self motivated
Organised with a high level of attention to detail
Able to work to deadlines and to a high standard
Punctual and reliable
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
Excellent communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner
