Location: Stamford
Salary: £26,000per year – £26,000 per year + overtime + excellent benefits
Duration: long term ongoing with potential for fixed term contracts to strong candidates

THE ROLE
Our client is looking to appoint Materials Handlers to support their busy production team. This role will include being responsible for the following:

– Maintaining production flow by identifying and transferring product and materials to and from pre-determined points of collection and drop.
– Locating and transferring materials and products by pulling and verifying materials and products on production orders.
– Maintaining in-process inventory at work centres by delivering materials and products.
– Documenting materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
– Preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product as necessary.
– Documenting product shipment by recording units shipped.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Materials Handler will ideally be from a similar background within a busy engineering or manufacturing company/warehouse.

You MUST
– hold an up to date counter balance forklift licence (B2 advantageous as is a reach licence) YOU MUST HAVE HAD THIS LICENCE OR REFRESHED IT WITHIN THE LAST 3 YEARS TO BE CONSIDERED
– preference will be given to those with a pallet truck licence
– it is also essential you have a keen attitude to work with a strong timekeeping record.
