In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of 10 to 15 bonded warehouse operatives on a rotating shift pattern. You will need to deliver consistently high quality products to demanding production schedules and quality and delivery targets must be met at all times. You will work closely with other members of the team to identify and implement improvements to the process. Team Leader will be working in a busy, Bond Stores which is customs bonded area. Staff are responsible for packing Duty Free items into aircraft carts against the airline specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a team of bonded warehouse operatives and ensuring they are appropriately scheduled and all shifts are covered so that customer delivery requirements are met.
Ensuring high quality standards are achieved at all times, consistent with customer specifications and company quality procedures.
Reporting on all aspects of production and operations, working closely and supporting your line manager.
Maintaining all work, ensuring flights are packed to airline specifications.
Plan and manage the team’s output to ensure delivery of business, section and customer targets.
Carry out performance monitoring of team members on a daily basis and escalate concerns to Section Manager.
Attend/conduct daily operational meetings/briefings. Present accurate information and data as requested.
Resolve conflict/provide solutions by exercising high levels of influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
Create a positive working environment.
Maintain legal/compliance across health and safety, food safety, Department for Transport (DfT), security and the in-house operational excellence programme.
Contribute and manage within defined systems of working to ensure quality of product, service to the customer and team progression/development.
Follow company, process and section procedures.
Instigate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Deputise for Section Manager when required.
Rotate through different departments/units as required.The Person

Degree educated preferred and/or relevant work experience.
of working in a fast-paced environment.
Food hygiene, security, H&S experience/qualification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years relevant operational experience.
Demonstrable experience of taking accountability.
Basic to intermediate IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Numerate and literate, ability to interface with senior management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Concise and professional in delivery.
