Salary: £26,000 per year
An established University is looking to recruit part-time, temporary Exam Invigilators for their exam period in January 2015. Work is seasonal and you will need to be available during the University’s examination period next year running from Monday 5th January – Friday 23rd January. You will be a highly organised person with excellent attention to detail and a high level of discretion.
Job Summary and Purpose of an Exam Invigilator
As an Examination Invigilator you will be responsible for organisation of examination venues, collection of examination scripts, processing of examination paperwork, dealing with students with special needs and ensuring the University Examination Regulations are adhered to at all times.
Successful Exam Invigilators will be required to work between 5th January 2015 and 23rd January 2015 the hours of work will be between 4 and 35 hours per week.
annual salary of £26,000
Successful applicants must be available to attend an assessment on Thursday 11th December 2014.
Training will then be held on Monday 15th December 2014 and Wednesday 7th January 2015.
Key Responsibilities
Collection of Examination Papers from the Allocated Paper Collection Point
Organisation of the Examination Venue
Distribution Answer Booklets
Distribution of Examination Papers
Communicate with examination candidates, as appropriate
Instruction and monitoring of candidates as they enter the examination venue
Explain examination key information to examination candidates
Ensure the examination begins at the advertised time
Be vigilant during the examination monitoring the room for illness, cheating and other irregularities
Deal with emergencies such as illness or fire evacuation.
Be familiar with examination procedures to enable the efficient management of the examinations
Collect examination scripts from students at the end of each examination
