Client Overview
The company are a multi-disciplinary design and engineering business comprising professional engineers, architects, surveyors and project delivery specialists across a number of market sectors including rail, industrial, energy and off-site solutions.

Purpose/Responsibilities
To assist the designer on a variety of design projects, in particular energy from waste projects. Prepare outline and detailed design of multi-disciplinary projects as directed. Checking of detailed designs and drawings. Undertake the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM legislation. Act as design engineer on projects as directed. Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff, and others, affected by operations. Any other duties as required 

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications/Experience/Personal Qualities/Skills
Good knowledge and experience of civil engineering design and detailing Ideally a Good civil engineering degree 2:2 or above (or equivalent) Knowledge of civil design principles and standards. Experience in the use of Eurocodes. Knowledge of construction principles and standards. Ideally working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer. Carry out role of design engineer under supervision with responsibilities for delivery of project(s) to the required quality, to programme and within agreed fees. Good understanding of safety standards and CDM requirements. Awareness of contract conditions and the importance of contracts in project delivery. Good commercial awareness including programming and delivery to budgets/timescales
Proficient in the use of computer analysis programs such as TEDDS and Supersuite
