Graduate Geotechnical Engineer

Newbury, Berkshire

I am working with a busy and successful Geotechnical and Environmental company who are looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their new offices in Newbury.

Summary

The role includes assisting and implementing the organisation of projects in the field as well as the office, providing input as directed into the planning aspects to the project. Accountable for field-based logistics including ensuring that the correct equipment is used and maintained on site.
As a guideline the engineer is expected to ensure that all technical and site work is carried out to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget.

You will/assist with:
Assist the project managers in monitoring contractual and assurance performance.
Ensure Electronic Access to all relevant projects is kept up to date.
Liaise with site and office on contractual issues.
Organisation and supervision of site work
Execution of ground investigations
Contract management on site to including delivery of projects on time and to maximize profits from each contract.
Contribute expertise and provide input into the siteworks of new projects.
Prepare and deliver technical reports.

The ideal applicant

Will have a background in a similar position.

Will have a full driving licence

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Earth Sciences, or civil engineering with Geotechnical bias.

This company work on a variety of interesting projects.
