Scheme Manager covering rural Horsham district, Worthing and Portslade areas

Salary: £26,000per year(£22,804) £26,255

37 hours per week, defined benefit pension, health care option, 27 days annual leave

We need a Scheme Manager to provide support and cover across our rural Horsham district team. The position will be based at fixed scheme locations but occasional cover may be required at other schemes in the local area.

You need to be: an excellent team player; a confident communicator; able to adapt to different schemes; have a flexible approach; and provide excellent customer service to our residents.

Our Scheme Managers’ key priority is to facilitate and enable older people in retirement housing to live as independently as possible. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for providing continuity for residents and colleagues in delivering excellent scheme based services including:

– Enhanced Housing Management service (EHM) – creating and maintaining support plans, advising on income maximisation, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment
– Tenancy management – low level rent arrears, antisocial behaviour and letting empty properties
– Facilities management – management of communal areas, health & safety and compliance
– Partnership working – developing relationships with external agencies in the community

You may have worked with older people, or in housing or are looking to work in this area and you will have excellent customer service skills.

It is essential that you have a full driving licence as there will be some travel between schemes.
