Clerical Cargo Agent

One Resourcing Ltd are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Cargo Aviation company based at Gatwick Airport for the role of Airport Agent – Clerical Cargo Agent. Although initially employed through One Resourcing Ltd on a temporary contract for services there is a very strong possibility of successful candidates being offered a permanent role after a probationary period.

The role of Clerical Cargo Agent will consist of working in all areas of administration for our client based at Gatwick Airport Cargo area. The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. To process airway bills using in house and airline systems, ensuring Customs regulations are adhered to.

2. Providing communication and documentary support to Airlines, Freight Forwarders, and other departments.

3. Ensuring all exports travel as booked in accordance with agreed quality standards.

4. Ensuring all imports are processed within agreed quality standards.

You will be required to work to a rotating shift pattern that will be based on working 37.5 hours per week and this roster pattern could involve working both early and late shifts. You will be required to work some, but not all weekends and some, but not all bank holidays.

Due to the location of this assignment it is essential that you have access and have the use of your own transport.

Previous import / export admin experience would be preferred.

You will be provided with any PPE required for this assignment. You will be required to provide a valid Passport or UK Driving Licence and Birth Certificate and Proof of National Insurance Number

Training:

You will be required to undergo induction and additional security training for this position.

Candidates for this role will need to be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle due to the location of the Cargo area and limited public transport access.

Shifts will be both days and nights on a rotating pattern.

You will need to undergo five year referencing and criminal record checks in accordance with DfT and Gatwick Airport Ltd regulations.
