Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

Due to continued growth we have a new opportunity available for a Maintenance Engineer working for our client a leading privately-owned Manufacturing company based in West Bromwich.

Hours of Work: 08.00-17.00 – Occasional out of hours required

Purpose of the role:

In the role of Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintenance repairs and improvements. You will be responsible for resolving any issues that may occur with the production/plant equipment and to ensure a continuation of production, you will also provide installation, repair & maintenance services throughout the site.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Record and log maintenance requests and fault repairs and repair in a timely and controlled manner.

Fault Finding/Troubleshooting and rectifying any issues

Ensuring that machinery is maintained, and repaired to a high standard.

Be pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department.
Progress reporting to Management / Supervisor
Must be proactive to complete scheduled work plans, start-up checks etc. in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be educated to City & Guilds or equivalent in an Engineering related discipline.

You will have experience of Electrical/Mechanical and CNC Machinery, be an excellent communicator with the ability to take direction and challenge in a professional manner along with proven experience of implementing and planning maintenance systems

It would also be highly advantageous to have previous experience working within a PVC Manufacturing environment.
