Finance Graduate

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

We are currently looking for a Finance Graduate, initially for a period of 12 months. The successful applicant will provide support across the Leeds Finance Team, with a specific focus on tasks currently undertaken by AP, AR and the Management Accountant. A list of specific accountabilities is included below.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Accounts reconciliation duties including debt collection/invoice creation/query resolutions

· Account processing duties including processing of purchase invoices/statement reconciliations/query resolutions

· Process improvement of the AR/AP Processes in the ERP system

· Fixed asset depreciation

· Review and update of standard costs of inventory through a PPV calculation

· Recording, matching and coding supplier invoices correctly – in accordance with the general ledger and cost centre structure

· Assisting with credit control and resolving queries

· Posting and allocating of cash and performing the monthly bank reconciliations

· Setting up new customer accounts

· Assisting with external and internal audit process

· Provide support and assistance to the wider finance department as and when required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Educated to a degree level relevant to the role

· A proactive individual willing to take ownership of tasks assigned

· Strong communication skills and comfortable working in a team

· A methodical worker with good attention to detail

· Ability to use initiative and work to tight reporting deadlines

· IT literate and competent user of MS Excel is a must

· Experience of SAP would be beneficial but is not essential
