The Company
A well-established company based near York are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Writer to join their energetic team.
The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, working with suppliers to develop informative, professional written manuals, packaging, and product labels, for new and existing products. You will also carry out risk assessments on products and provide recommendations to the suppliers and team to keep any risks as low as possible. From these you will also create relevant safety warning labels and content for the manuals.

Duties

·Testing new products and becoming an expert in how they work. You’ll then write training documents based on this.
·Designing and writing instruction manuals for new products; having a technical mindset would be advantageous.
·Carry out risk assessments of products and develop any necessary warning and product labels.
·Collating translations of the instructions manuals to support our growth across Europe.
·Creating training documents for new products, as well as becoming an expert in knowing how new products work.

Skills

·Technical Mindset
·Must have excellent command of written English, with an eye for good grammar and spelling, as well as attention to detail in formatting etc.
·Being able to work efficiently to deadlines, both as a team and on your own.
·Knowledge of CAD AutoCad would be a distinct advantage.

E-commerce knowledge would also be beneficial.
