Warehouse Operative

My client is looking to recruit 4 experienced warehouse operatives for their busy distribution centre in Rushden.

JOB PURPOSE

To engage in and deliver the operational tasks of the Warehouse and Re-work areas to support the business to deliver its sales orders on time in full productively and accurately
To work within all Health and Safety legislation and proceduresRESPONSIBILITIES

Unloading and loading of vehicles when requested by hand
All picking, packing and rework duties as requested
Checking all deliveries received against paperwork/packing list/delivery notes accurately and within the SLA’s/KPI’s, and reporting any discrepancies to your Supervisor
Putting stock away into both bulk location and pick faces, updating the stock management system with all movements performed as and when you do them
Replenishment of all locations as requested, when replenishing using stock from bulk locations you must update stock management system when transactions are complete
Identifying stock which is either damaged or not in a sellable condition and reporting this to your Supervisor
Picking, packing and checking of orders as specified by your Supervisor and observing all customer requirements either written or instructed to you verbally. These have to be completed in an accurate, productive and timely manner
Creating detailed packing lists as per customer requirements to feed back in to Operations
Preparation of orders for dispatch as advised by your Supervisor
Checking of orders when requested by your Supervisor
Assisting other warehouse staff with their tasks when requested by your Supervisor
General Housekeeping of all areas including stock locations, pick faces, warehouse aisles, maintaining a clean environment for not only yourself but fellow work colleagues
Recycling of all waste cardboard boxes, pallets and wrapping
Observing and carrying out good Health & Safety practices at all times. It is your duty to report any unsafe practises you observe to your Supervisor.Successful candidates will have the above relevant warehouse experience and be able to work on a fixed dayshift.
