Bi Report Developer

An opportunity has arisen with a successful market leader for an experienced BI report developer to join the team.

Tasks:

– To develop professional looking Business Intelligence Reports and Dashboards through the use of Microsoft Reporting Services
– To increase the quantity of reports containing visualisations, scoring (e.g. traffic lights), and other advanced SQL Report Builder techniques
– To improve the quality of the deployed Business Intelligence projects so as to reduce the number of defects and improve reporting speed.
– To assist in the development of departmental processes such as Reporting Standards and Documentation.
– To assist in the development of the report writing capability of teams in the Business units.
– To assist in the elicitation of requirements from business users in some areas

Skills required:

Experience in a Business Intelligence developer role
Creating complex reports and dashboards on a Microsoft reporting platform
Working in a Sharepoint environment for deployment of reports and dashboards

– Expert level knowledge of SQL Report Builder 2.0 and/or MS Business Intelligence Developer Studio
– Working under pressure, being able to deal with several problems simultaneously, while maintaining a focus on project deadlines
– Good communication skills with technical and non-technical people
– An understanding of the value of design/presentation within reports

Candidates must have a driving licence.
