Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client is looking for a Care Team leader/ Senior Support Worker/ Team Leader for a 6-9 month cover in Dunstable.
Salary: £26,000per year Mon – fr, £26,000 per year Sat, £26,000 per year Sun. This is a full time post, 37 hours placed on a rota. Between the hours of 9am – 5pm.
The candidate requirement
* You must have a minimum of an NVQ level 3
* Experience in managing and training staff and assisting with rota’s
* Must have experience as a Senior Support worker, Senior Care Assistant or Unit co-ordinator.
* Experience with taking on a Senior post within a care setting
* Must be able to commit to full time, 9am – 5pm based on the days required
* Must be available to start immediatly.
The role requirement
* Undertake the role of the senior person in the unit
* To liase effictively with residents and their families
* To report and record accurately appropriate information relating to residents, staff and the operation of the home.
* To administer medication in accordance with policy
* To supervise a team of staff and undertake 6 monthly performance reviews
* To assist in the planning of rota’s and deployment of staff to meet the needs of residents
* To assist in the monitoring and evaluation of health and safety in the care home, undertaking risk assessments and appropriate actions to reduce risks as required.
* To ensure residents care needs are regularly assessed and supported by individual personal care plans and risk management assessments with clear interventions, and that these are reviewed monthly or more frequently if changes occur.
* To provide direct care to residents supporting both physical and psychological needs.
The suitable candidate must hold mandatory training, be able to provide 5 years referencing, hold a valid and in date DBS or be willing to apply for a new one.
