Accounting Technician

An opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Technician within the Finance Department of a major Company to primarily provide support to the Accounts team.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in:

* Preparation and entry of monthly journals;
* General ledger account analysis and reconciliation;
* Daily treasury activities;
* Maintenance of the fixed asset register
* Using computerised accounting systems, spreadsheet and database packages;
* Drafting financial reports;
* Assisting the Finance team with internal/external audit requirements.

The successful candidate should have:

* A relevant Accounting Technician qualification (or equivalent/relevant experience working in an accounting function);
* A minimum of one year?s experience in an accounting function;
* Good skills in MS packages – particularly Excel.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate at any level within the business and the desire to work accurately and efficiently as part of a team.
