Trainee Traffic Planner

Trainee Traffic Planner – Northwich

Our client is currently looking for a Trainee Traffic Planner to join their existing team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and want to start a career as a Traffic Planner in a busy and faced paced traffic office.

Key duties:
*Briefing and de briefing of drivers arriving at the depot
*Ensuring the traffic IT system is up to date at all times
*Logging all drivers call ins, start times, holidays requests and vehicle changes
*Giving drivers instructions
*Checking drivers paperwork
*Ensuring breakdowns are dealt with in a timely manner
*Aspects of legal compliance
*Ability to stay calm under pressure.

With traffic Planners guidance:
*Scheduling and booking vehicles for maintenance
*Maintaining the service standards to their customers at all agreed levels
*Ensuring the fleet is routed effectively

Hours: 42 hours per week – this will be covering days, evenings and weekend working.
