Our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence company, are looking for a Cell Team Leader to join their team in Wolverhampton on a permanent basis. The company are one of the world’s leading suppliers in heat transfer and fluids management products and services for the military and commercial Aerospace markets and electronics industries 

Position summary:

The role of the Team Leader will be to support the Light Alloy & Non Light Alloys cells of the company. The Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating shop staff and work to ensure customer demands are fulfilled. The successful candidate should possesses the necessary enthusiasm, drive and desire to succeed and discipline to achieve significant results for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure all employees are adhering to the Company Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
• Assist with real time problem resolution and troubleshooting issues as they arise without the direction of management
• Monitor cell performance, maximising performance from the team and the equipment.
• Effectively manage resource requirements in line with capacity models and demand rates
• Must be an excellent team player and confident communicator at all levels.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Occasionally the Team Leader will be required to carry out tasks outside their normal reemit so flexibility is essential.
• Carry out / assist with Tier 1 meetings
• Carry out return to work interviews
• Releasing work orders as required
• Adherence to TPM activity, plan to minimise downtime
• Assist with resource/capacity & skills matrix reviews

Minimum Requirements:

• Apprentice trained City & Guilds or equivalent / time served experience with extensive industry experience Leadership skills (advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills
• Organisation abilities
• Computer skills preferred
