Trainee Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor, East London

A well-respected, privately owned medium sized main contractor are looking for a Graduate Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial team based at their offices in East London. They complete largely fit out and refurbishment projects across London and South East which include retail, commercial and residential projects with values between £50k and £5 million.

The company are privately owned and well-established, having been trading for 40 years. They benefit from a healthy order book going into next year and are looking for a Graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveyor who can join a busy commercial team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting with the financial control of the projects through to final account
• Working with whole site team to ensure client satisfaction
• Assisting with the maximisation of the gross margin on contracts, alongside site teams
• Dealing with clients where required
• Obtaining best prices for sub-contracts, accurately assessing costs during project delivery
