Machine Room Operative

Location, Leicester

We are currently recruiting experienced Machine operatives for one of the UK”s leading manufacturers of Point of Sale equipment and ancillary products.

This is an exciting opportunity to further your career and join an established and progressive manufacturer with production facilities at two sites within Leicester.

We have the following shifts available:

Basic hours of work: 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday then going onto a shift pattern of:

Shift 1: 6am to 2:30pm
Shift 2: 2pm to 10pm (will receive 15% shift allowance)
Shift 3: 2pm to Midnight (will receive 20% shift allowance)

The Role –

– Previous experience in a similar role as a Setter / Operator

– Knowledge of Alpha, Bystronic, Amada, Trumpf or similar equipment

– Experience in working with a variety of metals and acrylics would be advantageous

– Able to work with minimal supervision

– Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and quality

The Candidate –

– Previous experience in a similar role within Point of Sale, Sheet Metal, Signage or Graphics

– Competency in all aspects of lasers, routers and ancillary equipment

– Ability to understand and interpret drawings / job cards

– Able to function in a small team working to time sensitive client requirements

– Whilst not essential some team leader/supervisory experience would be useful
