Quality Assurance Manager

Our client manufactures for most of the major retailers throughout the UK and boasts an outstanding portfolio of products.

Due to continued organic growth, our client now wishes to further strengthen the management team through the appointment of a Quality Assurance Manager

Duties to include:

• Management and co-ordination of the Quality Assurance function on site
• To maintain and evaluate Quality Manual System in line with company policy, group, customer and legislative requirements
• To monitor quality standards, seeking continuous improvements to standards achieved, ensuring full compliance with customer specifications
• To ensure that all relevant technical legislation, protocols and customer policies are communicated effectively through out the business and that systems are put in place to monitor and review compliance
• To proactively measure and improve quality technical standards of products, processes and facilities
• To identify areas of site food safety risks (product, equipment, process, environmental and welfare) and implementing systems and procedures to eliminate/reduce hazards
• To ensure training and development needs are identified and that appropriate systems are in place to monitor performance for all employees within the department
• To ensure that the standard of food safety, legality and quality defended within the Quality Management System are understood and implemented.
• Adhere to company hygiene practices & safe food production
