ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Kent
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 – £36,000per annum dependant on experience (please advise)
My client manufactures products related to the Defence sector and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Kent area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* HNC/ HND/ Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
* 2 years’ or more experience in the industry
* Be proficient with using 3D CAD ideally SolidEdge / SolidWorks
* Any experience within the defence sector would beneficial
* Good knowledge of sheet metal, castings and precision machined components
* Good communication skills
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
* Providing CAD 2D & 3D support (SolidEdge/ SolidWorks)
* Working on the development of new and existing products
* Maintaining technical data packs
* Working individually as well as in a team
* Working alongside other Mechanical Design Engineers and colleagues in other departments
