Prison Store Person

Working with both public and private sector customers, this market leading Facilities Management organisation has around 20,000 employees. A number of exciting temporary (potentially long-term or permanent) opportunities are available, working within Stores Services in the prison sector. Working as part of the Stores Team you will be involved in receiving, receipting, stowing and issuing stores items to customers within the prison.

Main duties:

-Request, process and receive goods using Prison finance system when required

-Monitor, log and x-ray all deliveries to the establishment and deliver to relevant areas

-Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates of orders and ensure the return of items that are not required or incorrectly ordered

-Prepare and process requisitions, receipt goods in and ensure stock levels are maintained through inventory systems and carry out regular stock checks

-Receive and distribute uniform/carry out clothing exchange duties and transport laundry where applicable

-Supervise prisoner workforce in relevant areas, if required

-Undertake activities in such a way to ensure that waste is reduced and that areas of work are safe, clean and tidy whilst work is in progress
