Technical Manager

Salary: £90,000 – £102,000 per year

This multi-award-winning company have a strong reputation in the market and drive a focus on communities, they have invested millions into local infrastructure and look to reconnect places that have been closed to the public.

They specialise in delivering multiple high profile residential / mixed-use scheme in and around London.

Due to company expansion, they are seeking to recruit a Technical Manager to join an exciting development in Watford. The project is a large scale, high rise mixed-use scheme of over 1000 units.

As a Technical Manager, you will be reporting to the Senior Technical Manager and Technical Director.

Roles / Responsibilities

* The Technical Manager will assist the Senior Technical Manager in managing, leading and controlling in-house technical staffs as well as external consultants but still willing and capable of interrogating drawings from all disciplines

* To be conversant with project design responsibilities matrix and appointments relating to services they are responsible for

* Communicate with the design team regularly promoting effective communication between all design team members

* Keep Senior Technical Manager constantly appraised on all current project development

* Input into new land opportunities

* As the Technical Manager, you will assist in tender, take instruction and manage site surveys and production of written reports use on their projects against the project delivery programme

* Resolve all day to day problems as they arise by preparing solutions thereto and, where appropriate, liaising with the Technical Director for approval

Key Skills & Abilities

* Strong knowledge and experience in leading high rise, residential or mixed-use projects

* Experience working as a Technical Manager for a Developer or Main Contractor

* Able to communicate at all levels with consultants, site staff, subcontractors and client disciplines

* Proven track record of delivering large scale projects as a Technical Manager

* Been involved in a project from inception to completion

* Ability to interpret chart programmes

* Educated to degree level or equivalent in Architectural, Construction or Engineering
