Assessment & Support Officer

Salary: £18 – £26.4 per hour

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Camden Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3 – 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which could potentially be negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for an Assessment & Support Officer this role will be based at: N1C 4AG

The right candidate will:

* To provide a comprehensive accommodation-based assessment and support service to Afghan refugee families in temporary bridging hotels and provide induction and cultural orientation support to living in the United Kingdom.

* A casework approach to assess and meet the needs of existing refugees and new arrivals to the hotel.

* Ensure urgent and immediate needs are identified and met, and individual household immigration status/circumstances is understood to facilitate effective relocation and resettlement under the relevant government Afghan resettlement Schemes.

* To apply for DWP benefits where eligible.

We require the following:

* Experience working within a local authority.

* Experience in Homelessness prevention

* Enhanced DBS Required
