Finance Assistant

Salary: £26,000 per year

Northreach have partnered exclusively with a leading Men’s High-end Fashion Brand in their search for an energetic, ambitious, autonomous Finance Assistant to work in a generalist transactional finance assistant role.

The role is all about managing the day to day operations of the finance function, in the sole role working alongside the Business Director & Operations Manager – across bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, processing and sending invoices and assisting the outsourced accountants.

Your Main Responsibilities:

* Process supplier invoices ensuring the correct coding is in place and allocated the correct seasons and budgets within the accounting system

* Prepare weekly payments runs and ensure the payments are paid once approved in accordance to the relevant payment terms

* Resolve invoice queries

* Chase due payment in a timely and correctly manner

* Prepare weekly bank reconciliations

* Process payment receipts & approved employee expenses

* Support the outsourced accounts with VAT Returns, Management Accounts, etc.

Your Experience, Skill-set & Mentality:

* Experience working within a finance/accounts assistant position, ideally in a sole position or generalist role

* AAT Qualified or willing to complete AAT

* Numerate, conscientious, team player, happy to help in other areas on an adhoc basis

* Friendly, happy to speak to customers and tactful in your approach

* Experience in a fast-paced environment

* Ideally – experience within the fashion industry or a strong interest in high-end fashion
