Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
FINTEC recruit is looking for an Engineer/Site Inspector for our client who is an engineering consultancy in the telecommunications sector. This is a permanent role based in Glasgow with a salary £36,000 – £42,000dependent upon experience and will involve UK travel.
Role and Responsibilities:
Programme and manage small projects from inception to completion
Travel to multiple sites (Scotland, North England mainly)
Inspect and assess structure and condition of towers
Support the project manager
Review contractor plans
Work with contractors and subcontractors ensuring quality of work
Install steelwork and decommission equipment
Produce progress reports and highlight issues for each project
The ideal candidate for the Engineer/Site Inspector position will have
An engineering background
Health and safety experience
The ability to work at height
A full clean driving licence and their own transport
Experience of working on multiple sites and multiple projects at one time
The successful candidate for the Engineer/Site Inspector role will be a self-motivated, energetic individual who can work as part of a team to deliver a quality service to clients. Previous experience of managing subcontractors and planning/programming work would be a distinct advantage. The nature of the role means that they will be required to work away from home for 1-2 weeks at a time on occasions.
