Machine Operator
Full job description
Pertemps
Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client is a leading engineering company in Crawley and due to overflowing order books they need an additional machine operator/assembler.
This would be the perfect job for someone with an engineering background although not necessarily machining. Duties include machining components through to product assembly using standard procedures, tools and equipment.
Working as part of a small team the role offers lots of variety and therefore needs someone who is willing to learn multiple production operations and adjust quickly to new tasks. Strong mental arithmetic skills are needed with the ability to count to large numbers without errors. The role will involve entering data onto a computer so standard keyboard and accurate entry skills are required.
The successful candidate will initially work under close supervision to learn the role but must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently over time. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Friday.
