Senior PMO Analyst

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

SCC – Europe’s largest independent IT service provider, have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior PMO Analyst that has a proven Portfolio Management Office background, ideally with experience gained within the IT Services Industry. The role will be based at our Birmingham head offices.

Working as the Senior PMO Analyst you will be tasked with a wide variety of key deliverables covering all areas of portfolio governance and control, proactive assurance and management reporting.

You will also be responsible for supporting the development of processes and procedures, in-line with best practice to meet the future needs of the business.

DUTIES

Support development and production of Portfolio level Management Information and Reporting.

Act as the primary point of contact to provide expertise for the UK Services Project Community on all aspects of project change and governance.

Provide direction and leadership around delivery assurance and ensure compliance to standards.

Deliver training and upskilling for project managers as part of Induction and ongoing as required on project standards and procedures.

Identify dependencies and evidence of cross project engagement. Undertake trend analysis to identify capability gaps and propose suitable development solutions.

Management of key governance processes including Milestone & RAID reviews, Budget and Change Control

Undertake secretariat responsibilities for key portfolio governance boards and management meetings.

Contributes to Team development including potential for management responsibility for apprentices and junior members of the team.

Acts as deputy for Head of PMO

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Significant experience in a similar PMO role

• Supported delivery of large scale Projects, preferably in public and private sectors

• Commercial awareness and supplier management experience.

• Creative and analytical problem solving ensuring effective delivery of outcomes.

• Communicates fluently and effectively, formally and informally, with colleagues, peers and customers, on both technical and non-technical matters.

• Prince 2 or P3O qualifications

• Ability to deal with high levels of complexity and ambiguity

• Understanding of Delivery Lifecycles

• IT Technology product knowledge (desirable)

• Strong attention to detail

• Current SC Security Clearance preferred

• Able to balance values of user, business and technical issues.
