Management Accountant
Our client a retail & e-commerce business operating in over 60 countries is seeking a Dynamic Management Accountant to join their team.
The management accountant is expected to provide financial services, including supporting budgeting, management accounting, performance analysis and reporting of financial management information to senior management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The production of accurate and timely management accounts. Act as the business partner with management teams to help maximise sales and control costs.
Process the monthly journal uploads of sales data for all income streams. Liaise with managers on any queries that arise. Process internal departmental sales.
Producing annual budgets, working closely with the management teams, supporting the process through co-ordination, analysis and reporting
Producing quarterly forecasts, following the same responsibilities as the budget, on a more top level and streamlined basis.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts for monthly review (prepayments, accruals, sales control accounts).
Develop and maintain robust reporting around Sales and marketing, working with the Management team and Financial Accounts.
Send Purchasing forecasts to HQ in a timely manner.
To support the Finance manager with ad-hoc analytical work, through variance, trend and cost/benefit analysis, with their area
To prepare reports to assist with the completion of VAT and other tax returns.
To assist with closure of month-end and year-end accounts.Minimum Requirements:
CIMA part qualified to Newley qualified
At least 1 years’ experience in cash reporting
Strong Excel skills as is the ability to review and suggest improvements to the existing process.
Ability to work to tight deadlines; a clear thinker
Retail or e commerce experience desirable
A self-motivated individual able to work on own initiative, with an analytical approach to problem solving.
