Management Accountant – City Insurance

Due to growth my client a rapidly growing entrepreneurial equities and investment company who specialise in the Lloyds and London Insurance industry have an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Management Accountant to join their friendly, professional team. This is exciting time for the firm who are experiencing record growth and an excellent opportunity to come in and really evolve the role as the business grows.

Successful candidates will need to be part or fully qualified with proven insurance industry experience to be considered for this role.

Main Duties
– Bank Reconciliations
– Purchase Ledger
– Preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet
– Assisting the central finance function to create and implement processes and controls
– Balance Sheet reconciliations
– Assisting in the year end process and preparation of annual audit
– Assisting in the implementation and production of Management Information
– Work closely with the IBA team to ensure cash allocations, insurer reconciliations, bordereau production and credit control is in line with business expectation and providing assistance / support where necessary
– Producing annual Budgets and regular Forecasts
– Client Money calculations
– Provide finance support to businesses
– Ad hoc tasks as required
Person/Qualifications / Experience
The role would ideally suit a conscientious, hardworking, reliable individual looking to expand their accounting and commercial knowledge
– Part or fully qualified accountant / AAT qualified (or equivalent)
– Proven Insurance industry experience – essential!
– FCA Client Money rules
– Good Excel skills
– Sage Accounts and SSP Sirius experience helpful (not essential)
– Hands on approach
– Good communication skills
– Confident with strong customer service skills & a consideration of others
– Team player with a good sense of humour
