Electrical Maintenance Technicians

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS (CONTINENTAL SHIFTS, FOOD MANUFACTURING – GREATER MANCHESTER AREA) SALARY £44,400 – £49,200BASIC SALARY INCLUDING SHIFT PAY PLUS OVERTIME PAY (TIME AND A HALF) BENEFITS AND TRAINING. GROWING PRODUCER OF HOUSEHOLD FOOD BRANDS.

The Client

As part of their continued growth our client is presently seeking several additional Maintenance Technicians(with electrical bias) for their growing Manchester based plant, to be part of the maintenance team.

The Role

-Actively prioritise workload
-Respond quickly and effectively to electrical breakdowns to drive improvements in machine efficiency
-Fault finding both electrical and mechanical 
-Provide support with planned maintenance activities, utilising best practices
-Supervise contractors on site and ensure that all safety and hygiene policies are followed
-Assist with site projects when required, including new equipment installations, machine modifications
-Take seriously the safety of your colleagues/yourself in your operational area and to take actions to promote the required safety standards, challenging all instances of unsafe behaviours
-Provide solutions to failure situations, liaising with Mechanical Engineers
-Be the sole electrically responsible person on site outside of normal working hours.
-Provide comprehensive information about failures and actions taken
-Ensure all production is made within quality control parameters
-Optimise line performance by maximising equipment availability in your area
-Deliver excellent housekeeping standards within your area

Skills & Experience Required

-Time served Electrical (higher end of salary bracket for multi skilled)
-You will have the ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision
-Experience of maintenance in a manufacturing plant
-Experience working with PLCs (fault finding)
