Salary: £15.6 – £18 per hour
Contek Recruitment are working in partnership with a state of the art manufacturing organisation based in Somerset.
As a CNC Turner you will be part of a growing business that employs an ethos of continuous improvement for their employees and the wider organisation.
Our client are a long standing Precision Engineering Company who provide products to companies of all sizes across a variety of complex industry sectors, including: Aerospace, Environmental, Food & Drink, Marine, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and Utilities.
Dayshift – 45 hour week (Flexible)
CNC Lather Programmer, Setter Operator
Experiences and skills required.
* Ideally apprenticed trained and from a time served engineering background.
* Strong experience programming, setting and operating Fanuc/Siemens controls machinery.
* Strong Computer skills
* Competent in self-inspection.
* Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system
* Ability to work in a fast-paced sub-contract environment.
* Proficient with the use of Y Axis.
Role
* Programme, Set and run CNC Lathes.
* Working with small batch, one off parts.
* Produce programmes and parts to drawing and at commercially viable cycle times.
* Communicate effectively and aid other when necessary in the setting up process.
* Review new sub contract enquiries to produce accurate cycle times and tooling requirements for the sales team.
* Permanent position available.
* Lots of overtime available
* Hourly Rate dependent on skill level.
