Job Profile
As the successful CNC Turner you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists and be required to liaise with the Design department on new projects. The team are all multi skilled machinist and training and support will be given to develop your skills
Duties
* Programming, setting and operating a variety CNC lathes to manufacture precision metal components
* Programming, setting and operating 2 axis lathes and MillTurn twin spindle twin turret
* Programming using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
* Producing old and new components for the company product range
* Working closely with the Design Engineer on new products
* Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are meet
* Producing components from engineering drawings through to completion of final article
* Working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steels, Brass and Aluminium
Skills & Experience
* Experience of Mazatrol or Fanuc controls or Sliding head machines
* Experience of working on Mazak CNC Machines
* Competent use of Fanuc controls would be an advantage
* Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong team player who can who work on their own when required
* Capable of contributing to root cause analysis and front-line problem solving, to support continuous improvement
* Competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment
Hours
* 40 hrs per week
* 08.30 – 16.30 Monday – Friday 08.00 – 14.00
* Overtime paid at x1.5 hrs
* Monthly production bonus
