£26,000 per year (£26,000 per year) plus enhancements for night working
I am looking for an experienced Support Worker to work with adults with complex learning disabilities/autism, challenging behaviour and associated mental health conditions in supported living in Burton Latimer.
Duties will include:
* Supporting customers to express themselves and make informed choices and decisions about their lives in a way that respects their dignity and rights
* Helping customers to live independently, this could including making friends, socialising, learning new skills and hobbies to helping cook and clean
* Following and reviewing care and/or support plans with customers and recording progress of plans
* Administering and recording day-to-day financial transactions
* Maintaining Health and Safety records and responding to health and safety issues
The successful Support Worker will have the following:
* Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues
* A willingness to deliver personal care
* The ability to deal with aggressive or challenging behaviour
* An empathetic and compassionate personality
* The ability to work shifts, including nights and sleep-ins
* A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
* A commitment to receiving Covid vaccinations
This is a temporary role for 14 weeks, after which the role may become permanent.
