This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join a successful, expanding business leading the team dedicated to installing domestic and commercial solar systems.
In this role you will be required to support the internal team as well as manage field activities including contractors and overseeing all installations. You will be providing technical support to our customers as well as taking ownership of driving new opportunities.
Main Duties and Tasks:
- Manage all offsite contractors including scaffolding and installation teams
- Complete site surveys
- To provide quotations to customers using dedicated software – full training is provided
- Ensuring the delivery of quoted project margins
- Procuring products, ensuring their timely delivery to site for all installations as required
- Servicing and sign-off of installations completed
- Managing customer relationships before, during and after system installations
- Provide ongoing technical support for all solar technology products and services
- Managing the invoicing process with the internal sales team
- Develop competency in the technical and practical elements of solar panel systems (training will be given)
- Handling of RAMS documents and liaising with DNO
Key Competencies:
- Ability to form strong and positive relationships with customers
- Open to giving and receiving feedback
- Disciplined, methodical and problem-solving approach
- Good IT and numeracy skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects
Experience and qualifications required:
- City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
- Previous experience managing contractors
- Previous experience dealing with household electrical mains supplies
- Ideally be MCS certified (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
- Ideally be qualified in PV (Photovoltaic) installations
- A full driving licence will be required for UK-wide travel to sites with overnight stays from time to time
