Graphics Designers

rainbow recruit are currently working with our client a prestigious global exhibition and events organisation who are recruiting for 2 x Graphic Designers to join their expanding in house graphics department based from their offices in Excel London.

Both positions are offered on a full time permanent basis working 40 hours per hour on an hourly rate of: £15per hour + overtime

Job Purpose:

Function

Reporting to the Graphics Design Team Leader the successful candidates will be responsible for designing graphics and signage solutions for exhibitors and organiser clients, incorporating mac-prepress art working and conceptual designs.

Key activities and responsibilities

• Take initial face-to-face briefings from project managers/event managers and clients
directly.
• Design and deliver concepts and visuals within time frame allocated, with clear
understanding of production method.
• Ensure all deadlines are met for proofing, design concepts and sign off process.
• Ensure all schedules are kept up to date and accessible on server.
• Keep strong communication with Graphics PM’s and production department, to keep
updated with deadline/schedule changes.
• Ensure all design files follow specific guidelines for production on different types of
printer/cutter.
• Ensure all schedule information is correctly entered onto the data slug and printed
visuals passed through to production dept.
• Keep all files backed up in correct format and archived in line with the procedures in
the dept.
• Make sure all design hours are allocated to correct projects and job numbers.
• Be fully aware of the FTP procedures for incoming and outgoing data.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities
are highlighted to your line manager.
• Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company.
• Take a participative role in the Company’s sustainability initiative and ensure where
possible your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle and
replenish.

Relationships

You will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships with multiple functions, in order to facilitate growth and integration across the business.

Salary & Hours

This is a full time position offering an hourly rate of £15per hour based on 40 hours per hour + overtime as well as an excellent benefits package to include 25 days holiday per annum (plus bank holiday and statutory public holidays) and many benefits.

You may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods in order to meet the demands of the business and overtime will be paid at an increased rate over your 40 hours per week.
